International removals from London — planned, packed, and delivered door-to-door. Family-run since 2011, fully insured, customs paperwork handled. Regular routes to France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Portugal, the Netherlands and beyond. Rated 4.9+ from over 8,000 reviews.
Relocating to another country isn’t a bigger version of a London move — it’s a different job. There’s the packing, yes, but there’s also customs paperwork, transit insurance for the long haul, scheduled crossings, foreign delivery teams, and the small problem of knowing what you’re actually allowed to take into your destination country. We do all of that. You pack a suitcase, get on a plane, and let us handle the rest.
The Yellow Van Company has been managing European removals from London since 2011. We have regular runs to France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Portugal and the Netherlands — and we can quote for anywhere else in Europe (and, with a partner, much of the world). Whether it’s a one-bed flat to Lisbon or a four-bed family home to the South of France, we’ve done it before.
International removals are priced on volume (how much you’re taking), destination (where it’s going), and timing (whether you’re flexible on dates or need a fixed delivery window). Here’s a rough guide — we’ll do a proper survey and give you a firm written quote before you commit.
To France, the Netherlands or Belgium. Standard Channel route, no specialist handling required.
*Spain, Italy, Portugal: add roughly 20-40% for additional mileage.
Most common European move. Typically a single dedicated van, door-to-door.
*Destination, exact volume and access dictate the final figure.
Larger family home, more volume, often a dedicated larger vehicle or multiple vans phased over a couple of days.
*Site survey essential for an accurate quote on larger moves.
We come and look at what’s going (and what isn’t), measure volume, check access at the London end, and talk through your timeline and your destination. From this we put together an accurate quote and a workable plan.
European removals need stronger packing than a local move. Fragiles get double-wrapped. Wardrobe cartons for clothes. Mattress covers, picture crates for art — everything needs to survive a Channel crossing and a couple of weeks on the road.
Post-Brexit, anything leaving the UK needs proper customs paperwork. We prepare an itemised inventory, complete the correct export forms, and liaise with our delivery partners at the other end so nothing gets stuck at the border.
We load in London, drive (or ship) to your destination, and unload at your new place. No mid-route warehouse handovers unless absolutely necessary — the fewer hands on your stuff, the safer your stuff.
Our partner teams at the destination unload, place items where you want them, and reassemble dismantled furniture. You’re moved in, not just delivered to.
Goods in Transit cover for the whole journey, end to end. We’ll talk you through the cover levels and the small print before you book.
Paris, Provence, the South of France, Brittany, the Dordogne. Regular runs — one of our most common destinations.
Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Costa del Sol, the Balearics (with sea-crossing logistics handled). Popular retirement and second-home destination — we do this route a lot.
Rome, Milan, Tuscany, the Lakes. Italian customs has its own quirks — we know them.
Lisbon, Porto, the Algarve. Common retirement and remote-work destination — we have regular runs.
Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Brussels. Often corporate relocations — we can liaise with HR teams on timing and paperwork.
Ireland, Sweden, Denmark, Austria, Switzerland, Poland, Czechia, Greece. We can quote — ask us.
Over a decade of European removals from London — we know the ferry routes, the customs offices, the foreign delivery partners. Less is left to chance.
Post-Brexit, this is the bit most people get wrong on a DIY move. We prepare the inventory and export documentation properly — so your stuff doesn’t sit in a Calais warehouse for weeks.
You speak to the same person from quote to delivery. International moves have moving parts — you want a single number to ring when you have a question.
Goods in Transit cover for the full journey, including the sea-crossing leg. We’ll explain the cover before you book.
Including from customers who’ve made the move abroad — you’ll see European moves mentioned in the recent reviews.
